Yesterday was the perfect day for an outing. But where to go? Napa? Muir Beach? Marin Headland? Nope – we’ll go to China Camp – it’s about 5 minutes drive away.
Tricia packed a tangy rice/ onion/ tomato salad, fruit salad and two bottles of Costco’s finest beer. We hopped into our jeep and we were there.
While I re-parked the car up the hill away from of the $5 pay area Tricia found a spot under a tree. Behind us you can see a class from the Marin Art School in Novato.![IMG_0034[4]](http://stefansargent.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/img_00344.jpg?w=640&h=480)
We thought they were painting the view of the beach
But after lunch, I found, to my surprise, they were painting US having our picnic!![IMG_0024[4]](http://stefansargent.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/img_00244.jpg?w=640&h=480)
These are unfinished “work in progress” paintings – made even harder to finish as I was gone and Tricia was lying down.
t’s me – up and wandering. Love the hat.
Not to be outdone, I took some “arty” snaps at the old Chinese shrimping settlement.
inside the sunlight was streaming through the outside wall
outside – a mixture of rotting wood and rusty iron![IMG_0019[4]](http://stefansargent.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/img_00194.jpg?w=640&h=853)
on the beach side of the building is a retired gas pump. Looks better than the new ones in town. Great mixture of red and green.
